A beautiful half slip
from the mid to late 1940's when longer lengths became popular.
Sewn into the back waistband is a faded woven label saying Deena
"8 Gore", U.S. Pat. 2285239. The condition is very
gently worn as evidenced by the fraying of the tag, some curling
of the elastic and fading of the lace, The size is Large with
the waist stretching from 24 to 35", hips to 42" and
a side length of 32". The fabric is a silky smooth combination
of acetate and rayon, it drapes beautifully and feels fabulous,
in addition there is a soft subtle rustle. The hem is lace with
a 10" lace outlined slit at the center front, this marvelous
piece of vintage lingerie whispers sophisticated elegance.
