3D Printing and Scanning Technician at NOA Brands America
Lafayette-based manufacturerNOA Brands Americais seeking a 3D Printing and Scanning Technician to be responsible for operating its in-house 3D printers and 3D scanners.
The successful candidate will be tasked with 3D scanning objects, mannequins, or live models for developmental project needs and for scanning products for digital archives. The role will also involve performing routine maintenance and repairs on the company’s in-house 3D printers, keeping an inventory of all necessary materials, and follow 3D scanning and printing schedules.
In addition to possessing a high mechanical aptitude, the ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of 3D printing and design processes and a working knowledge of CAD and 3D scanning. A degree in industrial design, engineering, 3D design or similar is also required, as is two or more years of work experience with 3D printers.

Xometry adds former Paypal exec to Board of Directors
Global manufacturing marketplaceXometryhas appointed former PayPal executive Ranjana Clark to its Board of Directors. Clark is the Head of Global Transaction Banking, Head of Transaction Banking Americas, and Bay Area President of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), and will provide counsel to Xometry on its payments and business strategies.
Equipped with more than 30 years of executive experience in the financial services industry, Clark was named as one of theAmerican Banker’sMost Powerful Women in Banking in 2020. She will leverage the experience gained in her previous global marketing, strategy, and business leadership roles to accelerate Xometry’s growth and advance its set of financial products and services to help its sellers manage cash flow at all stages of job production.

New hires at 9T Labs
Meanwhile, Swiss carbon fiber 3D printing specialist9T Labshas announced a spate of new hires ahead of the launch of its hybrid 3D printing technology.

Xaar opens new global headquarters
Regarding facility news, inkjet printhead supplierXaarhas opened its new global headquarters in Cambridgeshire, UK. The move builds on Xaar’s recent rebrand and launch of its ImagineX platform as it looks to advance the development of inkjet technology for 3D printing and manufacturing.
Xaar’s new facility houses the company’s finance, HR, legal and marketing divisions, alongside a new purpose-built R&D laboratory. The headquarters also provides a “significantly reduced” carbon footprint for the firm.
“We are proud of our heritage in Cambridgeshire and our new offices will provide the best working environment to help us continue to drive the global development of industrial inkjet technology use worldwide,” said John Mills, CEO of Xaar.
