Director II, 3D Offering Solutions Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) at HP
Multinational printing firmHPis looking for a Director to lead its Offering Solutions team in MJF. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering customer-driven selling long-term formulas and future roadmap and business plans for various segments.
The role will involve leading a team of segment leaders and product management professionals alongside working with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure coordinated product management. Ideal candidates will possess at least a first-level degree in marketing, business, or engineering, more than 12 years of experience across relevant business areas, and have a depth of exceptional product management experience.
As a minimum, candidates will need to have at least six years of people management experience leading a product line, and have previously delivered new or disruptive products to market.

New hires at 9T Labs and AddUp
Swiss carbon fiber 3D printing specialist9T Labshas hired a raft of new staff in response to increased interest in its hybrid system for 3D printing and molding structural carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites over the past year. In total, 21 new staff members were hired, including a number of new sales territory managers to cover all European countries.
The firm is now looking to fill more open positions in 2022 with the anticipation of strong sales and market expansion for its hybrid polymer additive manufacturing system. 9T Labs is also planning on opening its first office center in the US in the lead-up to its patentedAdditive Fusion Technologybecoming commercially available by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, French industrial 3D printer manufacturerAddUphas appointed Rush LaSelle as CEO of North America. Bringing over 25 years’ experience with advanced manufacturing systems to AddUp, LaSelle joins the firm from global manufacturing specialistJabilto help facilitate the company’s growth in North America

Munich-based chemical firm林德has unveiled a new laboratory to facilitate advanced research into the manufacture of metal powders. The firm will conduct research into gas parameters to optimize the atomization process of atmospheric gases to form metal powders for 3D printing.
To this end, Linde is constructing a unique small-scale atomization test bench at its new facility to study gas structures during atomization, due to become operational mid-2022. The firm will also partner with powder manufacturers and OEMs to test specific gas behaviors on the test bench which can then be scaled up to larger atomizers.
“As demand grows for new metal powders, more research into the parameters of the gases which are integral to their manufacture is needed to ensure their role is optimized,” said Pierre Foret, Associate Director Additive Manufacturing at Linde. “Linde’s new laboratory will be the only one of its kind and is testament to Linde’s status as the leading authority on gases for additive manufacturing.”
ITDI creates 3D printing training hub
The DOSTIndustrial Technology Development Institute(ITDI) in the Philippines has partnered withColegio de Muntinlupa(CDM) to establish a 3D printing training hub in the region. Through the hub, the partners hope to boost CDM’s additive manufacturing capabilities and produce graduates with knowledge of the technology.
The hub will equip CDM students will skills and experience within 3D printing through R&D initiatives, design iterations, materials characterization, and rapid prototyping using various additive manufacturing tools. The facility is a pilot program and is set to be rolled out to other schools in the Philippines.
‘Smart House’ opens in Brno-Bosonohy
The South Moravian Center for Vocational Training in Construction in Brno-Bosonohy, Czech Republic, has received a suite of technological updates and has been opened as the ‘Smart House’. The facility has been newly equipped with new smart technologies, including a 3D printing station, in order to provide modern building technologies and training to professional associations, guilds, construction companies, and schools throughout the region.
The facility also offers a five-axis woodworking center, engraving and laser machines, and a 60-capacity conference room.
PPE Hwb Wrexham closes its doors
A Wrexham-based PPE manufacturing facility has closed its doors after 3D printing life-saving PPE equipment throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. ThePPE Hwb Wrecsamwas founded by a local family who used 3D printing to manufacture and supply face shields across the country over the last two years for free.
The hub has now announced that its “work is now done”, and on its second anniversary closed its doors for the last time. The hub’s final donation saw 17,000 units of PPE delivered to Ukraine to support to humanitarian relief effort currently underway in the region.
