3D printing the Empire State Building
With its dazzling height of 1800 mm, the 3D printed Empire State building, made on the Extreme 2000, is reportedly the tallest 3D printed Empire State building ever made measuring 1800 mm high.
The Empire State building was 3D printed with a 0.4 nozzle and a layer height of 0.3 mm. It weighs 15 kg and was fabricated in one, non-stop, build.The 300-hour print shows off the reliability of the Extreme 2000.
The Extreme also comes with bigger nozzles, sized 0.4, 0.8 and 1.2 mm.
A complete masterpiece
Note only was the Empire State building chosen because it is a well-known building, but there is also a lot of details in the building. In the video below you can see the end result of the World’s tallest 3D printed Empire State building.
